Supplementary Calculator
Global Consumption Growth

Before using this Supplementary Calculator you should be familiar with the basic Calculator. In this you have to select 5 parameters to calculate a Global Consumption Growth Factor (CGF) for the next 50 years.

In the present calculator one of these 5 parameters is selected as a variable, showing the CGF as a function of this variable, keeping the other 4 parameters fixed. This permits you to see how sensitive the CGF is to the value of the parameter in question.

You must select which of the 5 parameters is to be variable and specify the lowest as well as the highest value for this variable. You will then get the CGF for 11 equidistant values of this variable.

Population Growth over the next 50 years in percent
Developing countries :          Parameter 1 : PG-D
Industrialised countries :      Parameter 2 : PG-I

The present I/D consumption factor.
The consumption per capita and per year in the industrialised countries

the consumption per capita and per year in the developing countries.
  Parameter 3 : I/D

Per capita Consumption Growth in percent p.a.
