Advanced Calculator for making
Zero Consumption Growth Scenarios

This calculator is making the same calculations as the basic calculator for Zero Growth Scenarios. But while in the latter only one parameter can be selected (growth in per capita consumption in the industrialized countries) this calculator give more freedom to select parameters (3 additional).
The calculator first finds the 'permissive' growth rate for the per capita consumption in the developing countries, securing zero growth in the global consumption with the parameters specified, and then calculates the remaining figures.
If zero growth is not possible with the parameters specified this is announced.
In this calculation present world population is assumed to be 6 billions, with 1.2 billions in the industrialised countries and 4.8 in the developing countries.
Values shown when loading the calculator are default values. No value is set for the growth in per capita consumption in the developing countries. You can try the calculator first using these values. Then choose your own values.

Population Growth over the next 50 years in percent

Developing countries :            PG-D
Industrialised countries :        PG-I

The present I/D consumption factor.

This factor is :
the consumption per capita and per year in the industrialised countries
divided by
the consumption per capita and per year in the developing countries.

Present I/D consumption factor :      I/D

Per capita Consumption Growth in percent p.a.

Developing countries :          CG-D       DO NOT MAKE INPUT HERE
Industrialised countries :       CG-I
