Geneva, seat of the UN World Health Organisation, owes it to its good reputation to be a leader and example in the creation of places where it is good to breathe. With regard to tobacco smoke this is by no means the case. Smoking is tolerated almost everywhere, even in places where existing regulations ban smoking. We visualize a strong collaborative effort of the World Health Organisation, the Canton and City of Geneva, the Swiss Confederation, and Non-Government Organisations to make Geneva the place it should be: where it is good to breathe!
