[balancing act]
. For Mila, if she is still with us [on the list].

It grew over many
millions of years
and exploded
in the breath of a few

Cities grew like mushrooms
With roots of copper wire
to tap the long dead matter
humanity like spores
to spread the fire

In our hands it melted steel
blasted rock, killed the green
and made some wonder why
don't we feel?

Ever hotter and brighter
it pulsed and devoured
shot men and ashes as far
as the moon

And when it was done
it was quiet
time to see life as the fire

Let your life be your fire
let your life be your fire...
